College Advisory Program
Coastal Rush Class of 2024 had over 57 players committing to play soccer at the Collegiate level, making us the club with the most commitments among all Rush Clubs in the USA in the 2023/2024 Season.
Our Coastal Rush College Advisory Program is an in-depth, free, EXCLUSIVE, player-focused program that gives Coastal Rush players support, services, and resources to maximize their success, even if they don't want to play collegiate soccer. Whether you're a player looking for collegiate guidance or help maximizing your exposure to college coaches, or a parent who needs help understanding the search process, our Coastal Rush College Advisory Program is designed for everyone.

1 on 1 support Program
If your child is a Sophomore or older, they now have access to our Coastal Rush College Program. Players who are interested in playing soccer in college have the opportunity to get 1 one 1 support from the leadership team at Coastal Rush. There is a process in place to help members of all Coastal Rush Clubs. Use the button below to complete our College Program form, then we'll reach out to you to schedule a private 1v1 meeting.
Once all the paperwork, highlight video, and social media assets are completed, you will set up a time to meet with Coach Felipe on the boys side, or Coach Nick on the girls side. At this level, your player has done all the required work and the team at Coastal Rush can help put the player in touch with soccer programs that match their ability and school requirements.

John-Michael is here to help Coastal Rush players use the Rush College Recruiting tools in their college process so it can be as smooth as possible. He will be helping players compile their highlight videos, how to send coaches emails that stand out, what to look for in a program, and more. Please reach out to him with any questions you have about the recruitment process or college soccer in general.
He played at Perdido Rush/ Coastal Rush for 10 years. Over his career he was selected to participate in the ID2 training program, was on the Region III ODP team, and was selected for the US Soccer Id Combine. He spent his college career at St. Bonaventure Uni. in the A10 Conference and is now currently at the University of West Florida in the Gulf South Conference. Internationally, JM was rostered with the Guam’s Men’s National Team in 2022.

Meet Our Coastal Rush Boys Liaison
Felipe Lawall

Coach Felipe Lawall, a native of Sorocaba, Brazil, joined the UWF soccer program as an assistant coach in 2017 after an awesome playing career at UWF from 2003-06. As a captain he led UWF to 2 GSC Championships, and NCAA II final 4 appearance in 2006 where he was named ALL American. In 2015 he was inducted to UWF Hall of Fame.
Since coach Felipe joined UWF as an assistant coach, they have reached 5 GSC finals and won 2 GSC championships. They also have made to 4 NCAA II national tournament as well as finished nationally ranked in the top #25 in every year since 2019. Coach Felipe is also Booker T. Washington High School Head Coach since 2012 and he was named 5x Pensacola News Journal Boys Soccer Coach of the Year since he joined the program. He also holds a USSF D license and an NSCAA National Diploma.
Felipe earned his bachelor's degree in Physical Education and Exercise Science from UWF in 2006.

Nick Cooper

Nick brings a wealth of experience and a deep-rooted passion for soccer to our team, having been a part of Baldwin/PBFC for the past year.
Nick's journey in soccer on the Eastern Shore is extensive. He has recently served as Director of Coaching and Staff Coach for Gulf Coast Rangers and Fairhope Soccer Club. With 16 years of coaching experience and a decade as a Director, Nick's expertise is invaluable to our program.
In the past season, Nick coached the 07/08 PBFC Rush Girls and assisted with the 05/06 and 06/07 Baldwin Rush Girls. His dedication and commitment to player development are evident in his coaching success.
We are excited about Nick's new role and look forward to expanding our college commitments through the Coastal Rush program, driving further growth and success for our athletes.
