Coastal Rush ECNL-RL Team OVERVIEW

The Coastal Rush’s Competitive division is for the area’s top players who are looking to compete and play at a highest level possible. Led by a highly experienced coaching staff, players will experience an increased volume of soccer in a focused, goal-oriented, competitive environment.

Our Coastal Rush teams are made up of the best players from our Home Club Partners. They get extra training sessions outside their home club with the Coastal Teams to further develop their technical skills and tactical understanding of the Rush style of play.

Coastal Rush Showcase Team Overview

Our showcase teams are an exciting new addition to the Coastal Rush platform. They allow for top players from each of the partner clubs to train and compete with each other without committing as much time and money.

These players will enjoy extra training leading up to showcase events. Showcase events include Coastal Rush Fest in July at UWF, an August Event, and the Gulf States Showcase in December.

These players will also be closely monitored for potential ECNL RL roster spots in the future. However, the main goal is to offer a fun and competitive training environment while offering extra game play for those seeking more involvement in addition to their home club schedule.

Joining A Coastal Rush Club

Coastal Rush is made up of 6 training locations/clubs. Pensacola, Perdido, Gulf Breeze, Crestview, Mobile and Foley. Any player who is interested in joining a Coastal Rush needs to sign up for ECNL-RL Tryouts, https://system.gotsport.com/programs/9234N9704

PLAYER PLACEMENT PROCESS

Player Evaluations

Every year in late May and early June, soccer clubs conduct their annual tryouts to place players on a team based on their abilities. Those tryouts take hundreds of man hours to look at hundreds, possibly thousands of players in a short period of time. While majority of the players receive a phone call and are placed appropriately, many fall through the cracks, some cannot attend these tryouts, and many are too nervous to show their true ability.

When we look at the athletes, we measure their technical and tactical abilities along with their physical and psychological attributes. A tryout period does not allow us to fully rate players accurately. For these reasons, players will be observed throughout the entire year by their team Head Coach and Directors at training sessions and games. They will then be consequently placed more accurately within the Coastal Rush system. Evaluations will be based on the previously mentioned components in addition to attendance, attitude, team chemistry, and consistency, to name a few.

Tryout Information

All interested players are required to attend tryouts regardless if they were on a Coastal Rush team the season prior. In order to tryout for a Coastal Rush team the player must be registered with one of the Coastal Rush affiliate clubs. Discovery Players are accepted on a case by case basis.

All U13-U19 players under Coastal Rush who want to play at the highest level.
